SEO Services For Adult Industry Solothurn
By Emily Thompson, Content Writer Published Updated 11 min read
Short answer. Adult SEO means making a lawful adult business easy to find in search while staying inside the rules that apply to it. In Solothurn the first question is a permit, not a keyword: the canton’s economic act asks anyone who mediates contacts between sex workers and clients for an intermediation permit, and anyone who provides rooms for an operating permit. After that come three practical choices: German pages written for the region, a site Google can crawl despite its age checks, and an agency or developer you can test before paying. On 10 October 2026 general Solothurn agencies filled our results, and none of the adult pages we opened named the canton’s law. This is orientation for a talk with a Swiss lawyer, not a legal opinion.
What Solothurn’s search results look like
On 10 October 2026 we entered “SEO services for adult industry Solothurn” and “Solothurn adult SEO agency” into Bing, Yahoo, Brave and DuckDuckGo.
- General agencies take the local query. Solothurn SEO firms and a directory of them appeared. The one we read promised local rankings in German, quoted a monthly price with no breakdown and said nothing about adult clients. We quote no price.
- Adult agencies skip the canton. The Swiss adult-SEO pages we read name Switzerland as a market, cite no cantonal law and never mention Solothurn.
- Our own page is in the results. Escort Marketing Agency’s existing Solothurn page topped Bing and was the only DuckDuckGo result. We found it generic, with no Solothurn fact or Swiss law and a page head naming another market. This guide is meant to replace it.
- Google is missing. We could not query it: its challenge page stopped our browser. StatCounter’s September 2026 figures give Google 80.19% of Swiss search, Bing 12.11% and Yahoo 2.56%. What we saw is four smaller engines on one day.
Solothurn in brief
The canton had 291,407 residents at the end of 2024, according to its statistics office. The city of Solothurn, the cantonal capital, is small: Wikipedia gives about 16,800 for December 2020, so check a current figure before you quote one.
Three consequences follow.
- The city alone will not carry a site. If you serve the wider region, say which parts.
- Skip a page per village. Google’s spam policies list doorway abuse, meaning many near-identical pages aimed at place names.
- Link to the national picture instead of repeating it. Our Switzerland guide covers language structure and the federal frame.
The permit rule to settle first
We read the canton’s Wirtschafts- und Arbeitsgesetz (BGS 940.11, text as at 1 September 2025), its ordinance (text as at 1 September 2026) and the canton’s permit page. In our own summary:
- Definition (para 4). The act’s definition of sex work covers offering or carrying out sexual acts in return for payment.
- Two permits (para 28). Whoever provides or mediates rooms intended for sex work needs an operating permit. Whoever mediates contacts between people offering sex work and potential clients needs an intermediation permit.
- Conditions (para 29). The applicant must offer a guarantee of lawful operation, have legal capacity, show no serious relevant conviction and have no debt enforcement from the activity left unopposed in the past five years. Operating permits also need a binding building permit.
- Term and penalty (paras 30, 97). Permits run for three years. Practising without one, or breaching the act’s duties, is punishable by a fine of up to CHF 20,000.
- Duties (paras 31-32). Operators keep a register of the people working for them. Praising or tolerating sex without protection, and advertising sexual acts by hinting at workers’ health status, are forbidden. Para 32 applies these duties to intermediation permit holders by analogy, with two exceptions, so treat the advertising limit as relevant to your copy.
- Timing. The canton’s page says to apply at least 14 days before opening; the ordinance lists the documents.
Here is what we did not establish. The parts we read do not define “mediates contacts”, and the canton’s page does not mention escorts, online platforms or websites. So we cannot say whether an escort agency, a directory, an advertising site or a solo independent needs a permit. A 2018 SRF report said the canton did not then require one of people working privately; check whether that still holds. A further version of the act is listed from 1 January 2027, which we did not read. Ask the canton’s Amt für Wirtschaft und Arbeit or a Solothurn lawyer, and get the answer in writing.
At federal level, a 2015 Federal Council report says prostitution is legal and the cantons regulate it, and that Art. 195 of the Criminal Code turns on supervision and control. If your business needs a permit, the permit comes before the page.
What adult SEO and escort SEO involve here
It is ordinary SEO under extra limits: a crawlable site, accurate pages on what you provide, and links from real places. Google’s explicit-content guidance (revised 17 September 2026) adds three points. Label explicit pages with its adult rating. Let verified Googlebot fetch your public pages, because one age prompt over every page, ordinary ones too, may cause Google to treat the entire site as explicit. And keep explicit material apart from ordinary pages where practical. Escort SEO is this same work for agencies, independents and directories. Treat any pitch built on a proprietary method as unfinished until the method is written down.
Pages that make sense for a regional business
What to build depends on who you are. An agency answers customers, prospective staff and, if a permit applies, the authority, and one page cannot serve all three.
- One page per service you really provide. Do not publish a page just to catch a search for something you do not offer.
- A page on how you work. Whatever you tell the canton in an application, your site should say the same. A permit file and a website that disagree are a problem for both.
- A separate page for people who might work with you, kept free of any wording that could be read as pressure.
- Profiles, if you use them, with a decision on who controls each one. If the person profiled cannot change or delete their own profile, that creates a privacy exposure and weakens trust in the site.
- No health-status claims. The act’s advertising limit above is a reason to leave them out.
German pages, written for the region
German is the main language of 62% of Swiss residents (Federal Statistical Office, 2020), and the city is German-speaking. So the default is a German site, with English only if you serve visitors who need it.
- Write in Swiss spelling. Swiss Standard German writes “ss” where Germany uses ß.
- Declare language and country. Google’s localised-versions page (updated 21 September 2026) requires alternate pages to point at each other and accepts codes such as de-CH.
- Keep facts identical across any translation: same terms, same hours, same fees or none.
How to hire a Solothurn adult SEO agency
Google’s hiring advice (updated 5 June 2026) says nobody can promise a top ranking, that a first audit works with view-only Search Console access, and that you answer for what a contractor does. Each warning sign in the table below becomes a question you can put to an agency.
| Warning sign | What it may mean | Question to put |
|---|---|---|
| A page that names no Solothurn or Swiss law | The legal side was not read | Which part of the Solothurn act did you read? |
| A monthly price with no scope | A figure nobody can check | What does the fee cover, item by item? |
| A guaranteed top spot by day 90 | Something no one can promise | What will you hand over by day 90 instead? |
| A page for every village | Doorway pattern | What is true here that is not true next door? |
| Mass directory submissions or a link “network” | Link spam, and your details scattered widely | Which links are paid for? Show me the whole list. |
| No named German-speaking reviewer | Machine-translated copy | Who reads the German, and can I speak to them? |
Before signing, ask each shortlisted firm to answer four things by email: who is the registered owner of the domain, the hosting account, analytics and Search Console on day one; what is delivered inside three months; what duty of confidentiality the firm accepts; and which assets are yours on exit. Attach the answers to the contract. A Solothurn adult SEO agency that cannot answer in writing has answered anyway.
Adult web development: what to ask
Many ranking problems begin in the build.
- Speed. Ask the developer to report Google’s Core Web Vitals at the 75th percentile of real visits against the published “good” bars: Largest Contentful Paint 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint 200 milliseconds, Cumulative Layout Shift 0.1.
- Age gate. Which pages sit behind it, and what can a crawler read?
- Test sites. Who confirms the draft copy is blocked from search, and who lifts the block at launch?
- Ownership. The domain, hosting and analytics should be registered to you.
- Data. A contact form collects personal data. Under the revised federal data-protection act, in force since 1 September 2023, the federal commissioner states that individuals can be fined up to CHF 250,000. Decide what you collect, where it is stored, who has access and when it is deleted.
For the build itself, see our escort website design service.
Ninety days, in order
- Settle with a Swiss lawyer whether a permit applies and what you may publish.
- Sort out crawl access, page speed and the age gate.
- Write each German service page from facts you can back up, one page per genuine service.
- Create Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools accounts in your own name and note where you start.
- Leave listings and link-building for the end; any paid link gets the rel=”sponsored” tag.
How we built this guide
All searches were run on 10 October 2026 on four engines. Brave’s AI answer feature refused our browser, and Google, Mojeek, Ecosia and Perplexity were out of reach, so none of them is covered. We read the canton’s act and ordinance as text, its permit page, three news reports, a 2015 federal report, three competitor pages, five of our own pages and Google’s help pages. Many pages arrived as machine summaries, a position in results is a single observation, and we had no keyword volumes.
Escort Marketing Agency sells the services described here. Keep that in view when you weigh our recommendations.
Questions owners ask
What is adult SEO?
Earning visibility in search for a lawful adult business while respecting Google’s policies on explicit material, spam and access for its crawler.
Do I need a permit in canton Solothurn?
The act requires an operating permit for providing or mediating rooms and an intermediation permit for mediating contacts. Whether your set-up counts is a question for the canton or a lawyer.
Can I advertise freely?
Not entirely: the act forbids advertising sexual acts by hints at workers’ health status and praising sex without protection. We found no other advertising rule in the parts we read.
Do I need a Solothurn address?
Ordinary results do not require one. Map listings differ: Google’s business guidance presumes a venue customers can visit or a service area you travel into.
Can a firm promise me first place?
No; Google’s own guidance says it cannot be promised.
Should I add pages for neighbouring towns?
Only if each can carry facts that are true of that place alone; otherwise a single regional page does the job with less risk.
What will it cost?
No Solothurn price with a source turned up, so we print none. Compare itemised scopes instead.
