What is Enterprise SEO?
In short
Enterprise SEO is search optimisation for a site whose scale has become the constraint. It connects crawl budget, indexation, URL and facet architecture, template-level content quality, duplicate control, international targeting and change governance — so search engines can reach, understand and retain tens of thousands of pages instead of crawling a fraction and discarding the rest.
The distinction is not revenue or headcount. It is that page-by-page work stops paying and enterprise level SEO takes over. When a directory generates URLs faster than Google will fetch them, when a fix has to be made to a template rather than a page, and when three teams have to agree before anything ships, you have crossed into a different discipline.
Before recommending an enterprise SEO solution, EMA reviews crawl stats and log files, index coverage by template, facet and parameter handling, duplicate exposure and internal link distribution. At this size the constraint is rarely keywords — it is how much of your site Google will fetch, and how much of that it keeps.
